MÊLÉE (2021)

In this series initiated in 2020, Manuel Braun abandons the subject to apprehend the body in its materiality. It comes closer to the Being to better capture its essence. This series touches on humanity as an experience. Those photographs are far beyond being images, they are pure sensations. In contradiction with the current times of social distancing, which puts the bodies at a distance and inhibits the senses, it is an ode to contact. The sensation of the skin, hands being squeezed, the sensation of the bodies that meet each other, regains its intensity and reality through the lens of Manuel Braun. The barriers fall, the distance fades: would it be possible to "touch with the eyes"?

Each photography of this series is proposed in two editions (one of 7 in 20 x 25 cm and an other in 7 in 60 x 75 cm).
